BIBLE TEXT: “Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises.” –Romans 4:20-21 (NLT)
PERSONAL REFLECTION: Wow! A faith that never wavers. That is the kind of faith I want every time I pray for something! I believe that God wants us to expect – not just ask and hope. I have a friend who told me she does not get miracles like I do (I’ve had a few, if you want to know more, feel free to ask!). She also told me in the same statement that she doesn’t expect God to give her miracles. That was the answer to her problem. God tells us to ask, but He also tells us not to doubt. He wants us to have the faith of Abraham — a faith that never wavers, a faith that will grow stronger, and a faith that will bring glory to Him. He wants us to always come to Him fully convinced He will do what He has promised. And if you read the Bible much you will find His promises are MANY!
PERSONAL APPLICATION: I want to start walking in that kind of faith daily. When a friend comes to me with a prayer request or I know someone is struggling, I want to stand on God’s promises without any doubt and be fully convinced that God will do what He has promised. Imagine if we all do this, the miracles we could see.
PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, for the miracles you have given me. Thank you for letting me see what kind of faith you desire me to have. Help me to walk daily in a faith that is FULLY CONVINCED that you will do what you have promised. I ask that my faith each day grow stronger and always bring glory to you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
