BIBLE TEXT: Leviticus 26:10

You’ll still be eating from last year’s harvest when you have to clean out the barns to make room for the new crops.”

PERSONAL REFLECTION: God promises that we will have plenty of harvest each season if we obey His commandments. When we obey, we get accomplished all God wanted and then some. We even have leftovers from the last harvest. He wants us to clean out the barn to make room for the new harvest. You’ll still be eating from last year’s harvest when you have to clean out the barns to make room for the new crops.

PERSONAL APPLICATION: I believe God is telling me that He is my provider and I will have plenty including leftovers. If I am walking in obedience, I should not want for anything. On the other hand, I also believe that God is telling me to clean out the old to move into the new. We don’t want to mix the old with the new or it may spoil. What is it that is left in my barn from the previous season or seasons that needs to be cleaned out, in preparation for what God has for me this season? I believe that there are many things that God would have me clear out to make room for the new:  emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, and in the natural. When we want new clothes or toys, we always clean out what we don’t use or what doesn’t fit. We must do the same with the things of the Lord.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help me to know what needs to go in my life in order to move on to what is next. Give me wisdom on what no longer fits or is useful. I want room for all that you have for me. Show me how to make that room.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
