Bulletin Announcements for 7/20/2014
Welcome to Life Assembly! Our family is blessed to have you as our guest this Sunday! If you are new to Life, be sure to stop by the welcome area to learn more about our church and to receive a gift. Also, please complete a guest connection card so we may get to know you. If you are in need of some caffeine, be sure to visit our café downstairs. We hope you enjoy the journey with us this morning as we connect with God through worship and learning His Word. Thank you for choosing to partner in the journey with us today.
JULY’S BUDDY BREAK @ LIFE ASSEMBLY:
Buddy Break is back this July, and we want it to be amazing. Buddies, mark your calendars for this Friday, July 25th and let us know if you plan on attending. We need volunteers for this event. The more Buddies there are, the more V.I.P.s get to attend this great night, so email: email@example.com today!
Our Prime Timers are joining with Buddy Break @ Life Assembly in the new phase of Buddy Break’s ministry. They will be assisting in the setup process for our Friday night Buddy Break on Friday, July 25th at 9:30 a.m. We are so excited to have the Prime Timers’ involvement in this great ministry.
LIFE GOES TO CUBA:
Life is taking a trip to Cuba from November 20th-December 6th. This trip will focus on installing A/V systems and completing construction projects within the Confidence in God church of Havana. The initial non-refundable deposit for this trip ($250) is due next Sunday, July 27th, so if you are interested in going, contact Justin Henry (firstname.lastname@example.org) right away.
LIFE ASSEMBLY’S 4th ANNUAL MOBILE FOOD PANTRY:
For more than half of Tennessee students, summer break means an end to free and reduced meals provided during the school year. Food insecurity (not knowing where your next meal will come from) is a reality for one in four children in Tennessee. To help these children and others in our community, Life Assembly is sponsoring its fourth annual Mobile Food Pantry here at Life Assembly on Saturday, July 26th. A Mobile Food Pantry is a free grocery distribution for individuals and families in need of extra help with groceries. We will also be offering other items to get the children in our area ready for “Back to School”, such as free haircuts for school-age children and school supplies. We need YOUR help in order to make this event successful. Some of the ways that you can help are:
Donate school supplies- crayons (24 pack), notebook paper (wide ruled), #2 pencils, glue sticks, spiral notebooks (single subject, wide ruled), pocket folders with fasteners.
Volunteer- we will need volunteers to help set-up on Friday, July 25 and to work the event on Saturday, July 26. Also, if any hairdressers would like to volunteer their time, we need their assistance in our free haircut area.
Donate boxes and grocery bags- for food distribution.
If you would like to be involved as a volunteer, would like more information, or know someone who could benefit from the Mobile Food Pantry, please contact Julie Wharton at: email@example.com today.
